The Ben-Gurion Society hosted their annual BGS Gala on Sunday, May 15, 2005. The theme this year was "Swing into Tradition" as we honored the past, present and future of our young leaders in the beautiful setting of the Concordia-Argonaut Club, the oldest private Jewish club in San Francisco.
We grooved to the swanky beats of San Francisco's local favorite swing band, Stompy Jones, and enjoyed a special swing dance lesson by professional swing dancers, who performed their top-notch swing dance moves throughout the night. We also had a special raffle drawing, including prizes such as gift certificates to Bay Area events, including the SF Symphony; dinners at some of San Francisco's best restaurants, a hotel stay and wine tasting at a local winery. Special guests included David Steirman, JCF President and past YAD President; Danny Grossman, 2005 JCF Campaign Chair, both of whom toasted the group's commitment to tzedakah; and Howard Brown, National BGS Co-Chair.
Special thanks to Tova Adelman and Stephanie Diamond, BGS Gala Co-Chairs and their committee for helping plan a fantastic evening!
