For the first time in four years, the Diller teens returned to Israel in the summer of 2004 for a three-week summer seminar and a three-week optional Ulpan (Hebrew school) on Kibbutz Megiddo. During the Ulpan, which was designed exclusively for the Diller teens, the Fellows took Hebrew classes, worked on the kibbutz — in the fields, the store, the garden and with the children — and took part in the world-famous excavations of the Tel Megiddo ruins. Four alumni from the previous cohort joined the Diller teens as they learned Hebrew, bonded with each other (and with the kibbutz's teens) worked and spent many hours at the beautiful swimming pool.
